"What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is a-goin' on here?"

That's Right You Ungrateful Wives. . .

According to Dr. Laura, if your husband cheats, you share the blame because you've pushed away "perfectly good men by not treating them with the love and kindness and respect and attention they need."  These are her words on the Today Show during her interview with Meredith Vierra while discussing the Spitzer scandal.

My take on the Spitzer scandal is this: A lot of times, powerful men get to where they are by being risk takers. Enron's Jeff Skilling was known to enjoy wild vacations where he engaged in extreme sports. The type of cheating Spitzer engaged in was high risk because he enjoyed prostitutes. He didn't cheat with a mistress (as far as we know) because that would have required some sort of a relationship. He had sex with prostitutes because it was illicit, dangerous  and he didn't have to become emotionally involved with the women.  He objectified them and paid for their services. The end.  It was kinky, non-committal sex.  This had more to do with him being freaky than it had to do with his wife not giving him what he needed.  Considering the fact that Dr. Laura was the other woman to the man she now calls her husband, I can see why she needs to believe her absurd theory.  Not to worry though, what goes around comes around.
