Yay!!! I got my light saber spoons! They are so cool.  The first spoon I got was a red light saber.  I was excited because there is a running joke between my students and me that I have been influenced by the dark side of the Force.  I even had one of my more vocal class clowns reinact a scene from the Episode III trailer in which Obi Wan Kenobi tearfully cries, "You were the chosen one!" to Anakin Skywalker.

After much whining and pouting, my husband finally gave in and went to the store around 9:15 p.m. CST and bought another box of specially marked cereals so I could get another light saber spoon.  It was a gamble. What if I got another red spoon? Would I have to buy another box of Frosted Flakes? Or maybe Corn Pops? Luckily, I got the blue light saber spoon and I am content for now.  However, I still may feel the need to get the third coveted green light saber spoon which is color of Yoda's light saber. Anyway, I now have more cereal than I know what to do with.
