Enjoy some fireworks!

• I woke up with a terrible headache and my eye was itching.  I thought "Damn it! Another bad allergy day!" I went into the kitchen to make myself some coffee and was greeted with a strange smell. Not really a bad smell, but an annoying one.  I did the bloodhound routine around the kitchen -- you know, when you go around sniffing everything, and realized the smell was not coming from the kitchen, but my husband's studio.  He's working with oil paints.  Blech!  He hates working with oil paints so I've never had to smell them in the house. Oh well. The painting is coming along well, though.

• Missmandible put up her "list" and other people in my network did, too.  Man!  I got kinda hot and bothered reading them.  Dayum!  Oh yeah, surely I am not the only one (other than my aunt) who thinks Jeff Goldblum is sexy.

• I'll be going to my Big Mama's house for the Fourth of July.  I haven't gone there for the Fourth in a long time.  I always reminisce about the those days when my cousins and I would have a truck load of firecrackers -- firecrackers of all kinds.  Since I was / am sensitive to sound, I HATED the damned things!  I hated those damned Black Cats most of all.  I would go inside and cover my ears when they set them off.  My cousins never really teased me about it though.  They'd tell me when they were finished and then we'd set off some Roman Candles.  For some reason, I liked those.  I would never light them though, I'd just stand there holding my sparkler and watch my cousins set them off.  *sigh* Good times.

• Man, this was a rambling, piece-of-shit post. LOL! Sorry.

The tattoo that I got two years ago is already fading.  I keep it covered up because it's on my shoulder, plus I avoid the sun like the plague.  Why is it fading already?  I know I should get it touched up every once in a while, but is this unusual?  Do tats on dark skin fade faster?
